Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore's Emerging nanoscience Research Institute (EnRI) seeks a Research Associate / Research Fellow to advance micro device research and development. The role collaborates with the project team on experimental design, device fabrication, testing and data analysis to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities include designing micro devices, maintaining lab equipment, preparing reports, and presenting findings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (for RA) or PhD (for Fellow) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or related field.
• Experience handling high voltages in high-energy or pulsed-power applications.
• Hands‑on experience in pulsed power or high-voltage electronic design.
• Familiar with microfabrication techniques (thin‑film deposition, photolithography).
• Good written and oral communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and fabricate micro devices with desired performance that meet project requirements.
• Provide research support to the project team and laboratory, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and managing consumables.
• Document methodologies, results, and findings in technical reports and presentations.
