Job summary

NTU NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory seeks a Research Engineer to oversee equipment operations, processes, and maintenance for a safe, efficient research environment in Singapore. You will coordinate equipment, ensure safety compliance, and lead a team of researchers and students toward successful R&D outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or engineering field, with experience in nanotechnologies or thin film technologies and a strong focus on equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field.
• Research and development knowledge in nanotechnologies and thin film technologies are highly sought.
• Proven experience as an Equipment Engineer/Process Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on equipment management.
• In-depth understanding of research laboratory equipment, operations, and principles.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining robust working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee research equipment operations, ensuring safety and efficiency of research activities in Corp Lab.
• Uphold all relevant health and safety regulations from university within the laboratory.
• Running of equipment processes and maintenance of equipment to keep it in optimal conditions.
• Coordinate equipment scheduling, delivery, and maintenance together with researchers and project PIs; lead and train laboratory research staff and students, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and implement quality controls.
