Job summary

Armour Publishing PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Publishing Leader to oversee end-to-end book development, edits, and strategy. You will drive editorial direction, ensure quality, and coordinate budgets and stakeholder relationships across design, translation, printing, and distribution.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in book publishing, strong project management, excellent communication, and a track record in marketing and business development within publishing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in book publishing.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of the publishing industry and market trends.
• Familiarity with publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in marketing and promoting books.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire publishing process from ideation to proofreading.
• Edit and review Editorial team output for accuracy and house styles.
• Plan, develop, and execute editorial strategy and vision for publications.
• Maintain high quality and accuracy across books.
• Coordinate publication processes including design, translation, printing, and stakeholder relations.
• Manage books budgets, P&Ls, and revenue goals.
• Oversee book publishing operations such as inventory, reprints, and revisions.
• Negotiate contracts and licensing with authors, distributors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance to ensure cohesive publishing projects.

Job description

• Oversee the entire publishing process, from brainstorming and ideation to writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Edit and review the work done by the Editorial team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Company’s guidelines and house styes.
• Responsible for planning, developing, and executing the editorial strategy and vision of a publication.
• Maintains an exceptional high level of quality and accuracy in every book.
• Responsible for the coordination and administration of the entire publication process for books, including sourcing and managing relationships with stakeholders (designers, translators, printers etc).
• Manages the books budget, P&Ls, and finances; meets established revenue goals.
• Manages all book publishing operations such as inventory, reprints, and revisions.
• Negotiating contracts and licensing agreements with authors, distributors and vendors.
• Work closely with sales & marketing, logistics & warehouse, finance department to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to publishing projects.
