Responsibilities

• Monitoring of media coverage and preparation of reports for the wider team and clients.
• Delivering analytics reports on traditional and social media coverage, reporting on traffic, engagement, follower figures, trends and impact.
• Attending and facilitating client events and industry conferences.
• Creation of content such as press releases, story pitches, commentaries, holding statements, social media posts and product pieces.
• Pitching of press releases and story ideas to journalists across print, broadcast and online platforms.
• Arranging and facilitating interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople - in person or over the phone, facilitating these meetings where appropriate.
• Establishing and building relationships with journalists.
• Brainstorming fresh ideas for PR campaigns.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and general news.
• Researching and information-gathering.
• Working closely with the wider team to achieve client objectives.
• Contributing to a positive and conducive office and team culture.

As part of the Black Dot team, you will play a key role in servicing and developing strategies for our wide range of clients that straddle an expansive spectrum of industries and sectors. You will be given exciting opportunities to work across this variety of industries, as you build relationships with our clients, journalists, vendors, and the broader community. Your work with us will require suiting up for corporate events one day, and running down race tracks the next - we like passion and adaptability.
