Job summary

PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, invites applications for a Senior/Executive/Engineer (Hydrogeology) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division. You will lead engineering models to understand hydrological systems and advance integrated water resource management, plus related R&D projects.

Responsibilities span data analysis, numerical modelling, model calibration, reporting, and knowledge management, in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualifications in Hydrogeology, Geology, Civil / Environmental Engineering, or related fields
• Proficiency in hydrogeological modelling software such as MODFLOW and GIS applications
• Possess strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and a good team player
• Self-motivated, adaptable and possess strong sense of responsibility
• Experience / knowledge in hydrogeological modelling is preferred

• Numerical modelling: develop and refine numerical model(s) with project consultants.
• Model calibration and updating: calibrate and update models using field data.
• Report preparation: prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings.
• Knowledge management: maintain standard protocols for model development, calibration and validation; conduct training sessions.

What The Role Is

As a Senior Engineer/ Executive Engineer / Engineer (Hydrogeology) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team to lead the development of engineering models to understand hydrological systems and enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.

As a Senior Engineer/ Executive Engineer / Engineer (Hydrogeology) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team to lead the development of engineering models to understand hydrological systems and enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.

What You Will Be Working On

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following areas:

• Data Analysis: work in a multidisciplinary team to collect and analyse data from trial boreholes, hydraulic tests and geological studies.
• Numerical modelling: work closely with the project consultants to develop and refine numerical model(s)
• Model calibration and updating: Calibrate and update models using field monitoring data.
• Report preparation: prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Knowledge management: maintain and implement standard protocols for model development, calibration and validation to ensure that models are properly archived and version-controlled; as well as conduct training/knowledge sharing sessions
• Any other duties as assigned.
