Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board - Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer/Executive Engineer/Engineer (Hydrogeology) within the Water Systems Department to lead the development of engineering models for understanding hydrological systems and to strengthen integrated water resource management. You will contribute to related R&D projects and collaborate across disciplines.

You will work on data collection from boreholes and hydraulic tests, develop and calibrate MODFLOW-based models, and communicate

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Civil / Environmental Engineering, or related fields
• Proficiency in hydrogeological modelling software such as MODFLOW and GIS applications
• Possess strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and a good team player
• Self-motivated, adaptable and possess strong sense of responsibility
• Experience / knowledge in hydrogeological modelling is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead development of engineering models to understand hydrological systems
• Contribute to R&D projects and knowledge management
• Data collection from trial boreholes, hydraulic tests and geological studies
• Develop and calibrate numerical models with project consultants
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations communicating findings and recommendations
• Maintain standard protocols for model development, calibration and validation and conduct training/knowledge sharing sessions
