Job summary

sggovterp, within the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, seeks an Executive Engineer / Engineer (Geology) to lead the development of engineering models for planning and guiding the design and construction of systems to enhance integrated water resource management.

You will design and implement geological investigations, analyze data, manage rock core storage, maintain geological datasets for Leapfrog visualization, and conduct training and knowledge-sharing

Qualifications

• Degree required: Geology or Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in MS Office, GIS tools and Leapfrog visualization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement geological and geophysical investigations.
• Analyze and interpret geological data; prepare reports and present recommendations.
• Manage storage of rock cores for research studies.
• Maintain geological datasets and models for data visualization (Leapfrog).

What the role is

As an Executive Engineer / Engineer (Geology) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, you will be part of a team to lead the development of engineering models to plan and guide the design and construction of systems to enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.

What you will be working on

• Design and implement geological and geophysical investigations
• Perform analysis and interpretation of geological and geophysical data, prepare reports and present recommendations to management.
• Manage storage of rock cores and for research studies.
• Maintain and upkeep geological datasets and model for data visualization and interpretation (Leapfrog or equivalent)
• Conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

• Degree in Geology, Civil / Environmental Engineering, or related fields
• Possess strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS applications and/ or data visualisation tools such as Leapfrog.
