AWWA LTD. is seeking a qualified psychologist to deliver holistic psychological services with a caregiver/client focus in Singapore.

You will develop collaborative treatment plans, deliver psychoeducational programs, and participate in ongoing professional development for teams and stakeholders. The role involves working with both caregivers and children, conducting assessments, implementing evidence-based practices, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary group to promote client wellbeing

Qualifications

  • Master's in Psychology or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • 1-2 years of working experience.
  • Registered or eligible for SPS full membership and SRP registration.

Job description

Principal Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide holistic psychological services that are caregiver/client focused
  2. Develop collaborative treatment plans based on assessment findings and observations for caregivers/clients
  3. Deliver psychoeducational programs, training and workshops for clients, caregivers, colleagues and other stakeholders

Caregivers (70% of job scope)

  1. Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals and families using approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), emotion regulation strategies, mindfulness-based interventions, and other clinically appropriate therapeutic modalities to address emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs
  2. Conduct psychological assessments and develop goals, incorporating psychoeducation, family-based interventions, strengths-based approaches, and collaborative care strategies to enhance psychological well-being, improve coping skills, strengthen family functioning, and support recovery outcomes
  3. Participate in Case Filter Meetings (CFM) to review caregiver referrals, identify mental health needs and recommend appropriate intervention pathways

Children (30% of job scope)

  1. Manage, coordinate, and conduct formal and informal psychological assessments independently
  2. Co-plan and implement collaborative intervention plans incorporating appropriate behavior management strategies based on assessment findings to support the needs of individual and/ or group of diverse learners
  3. Adopt and implement evidence-based approaches such as Trans-disciplinary approach, Family-Centred Practices, Early Childhood Holistic Outcomes and other best practices in Early Intervention
  4. Attend and assist with case discussions, team meetings and conference meetings as well as chair these meetings when necessary
  5. Attend training, workshops and events as and when deemed necessary and fit for operations and professional development
  6. Formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based, data-driven programmes in collaboration with team members
  7. Empower clients and caregivers on methods to enhance health, participation and functioning through self-management strategies
  8. Provide psychological inputs to other programmes and relevant professionals
  9. Collaborate and provide consultation for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., families, professionals, & agencies including hospitals and preschools) in order to promote client development and/or functioning
  10. Identify areas of improvement in models of client care and service based on evidence-based practices
  11. Perform data collection and analysis to support research
  12. Identify areas of improvement in models of client care and services for quality improvement projects
  13. Adhere to professional standards in clinical, legal, ethical, health and safety practices
Other Responsibilities
  • To assist in ad-hoc projects/committees/ events as and when required
  • To perform any other duties as directed by the Head / EI Management

Job Specifications
Minimum education / qualifications
  • Master's in Psychology or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) as a full member
  • Psychologists who are full members of SPS and registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) are expected to work independently
Minimum years of relevant experience
  • 1-2 years of working experience
