Job summary

AWWA LTD invites a Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team in Singapore. The role involves conducting formal and informal assessments, admissions screening, and delivering programmes that address clients’ psychological and behavioural needs.

Applicants should have a Master’s in Psychology, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and be registered or eligible for registration with the SPS. Independence in practice is encouraged for SPS SRP members.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Psychology or equivalent from an accredited university.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society as a Full Member/Registered Psychologist.
• SPS full member and SRP registration expected to work independently.

• Coordinate and conduct formal and informal psychological assessment for clients including standardised tests.
• Manage admission and initial screenings for potential clients.
• Plan and implement evidence-based programmes or interventions to support the psychological and behavioural needs of the clients.
• Collaborate with other professional staff to develop and implement evidence-based strategies and interventions, as well as conduct home programmes/visits when necessary.
• Provide consultation for families, professional staff, and other stakeholders so as to improve client outcome as well as enhance client's development and/or functioning.

Job description

The Psychologist provides psychological services within a team, applying a wide array of psychometric assessments and interventions for clients with routine psychological/ behavioural conditions. She/He conducts psychoeducational programmes and training for caregivers and other professionals. She/He also participates in continuing education and research to achieve quality client care.

Job Requirements:

• Psychologist who are full members of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) are expected to work independently
