Job summary

Montfort Care is seeking a qualified Psychologist to provide assessments, interventions, and consultations for individuals, families, and groups affected by trauma and violence. Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology.
• Eligibility for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or equivalent professional body.
• Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience with children, youth and families.
• Experience in protection work and/or providing evidence-based trauma interventions is an advantage.
• Prior supervisory experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Triage referred cases for in-house psychological services or referral to appropriate external agencies.
• Conduct psychological assessments of children and families to understand mental health difficulties and risk concerns and provide sound recommendations based on clinical formulation.
• Develop case formulations and deliver trauma-informed evidence-based interventions.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using other evidence-based approaches.
• Provide psychology-based crisis interventions when necessary.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and case conferences with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate reflective practice and case consultations for staff.
• Contribute to the development of therapeutic-related work processes and protocols.
• The role may also involve supervising and/or mentoring associate psychologists.
• Contribute to service evaluation and other research initiatives within the department - data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings at internal meetings, conferences, or publications.
• Translate and utilise research findings into improvements in service delivery.
• Collaborate with academic institutions or research bodies where applicable.
• Develop training materials or resources for internal staff and external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Psychologist provides psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to individuals, families, and groups experiencing trauma and mental health difficulties due to violence. The role includes opportunities for programme development, research contributions, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, evidence-based mental health services.

This role may also include supervision of junior staff and supporting the professional development of the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
