Job summary

Health Sciences Authority in Singapore seeks a Legal Executive (Prosecution) to support its legal and prosecution functions. The role involves paralegal work, legal research, drafting and court-related matters, including regulatory prosecutions in State and Youth Courts.

The successful candidate will provide backend support for Night Court matters and assist with case management within a fast-paced regulatory environment. A 1-year contract with renewal option is offered.

Qualifications

• Candidates prefer a law or communications background.
• Paralegal experience in private practice or public sector is advantageous.
• Previous court attendance or assistance with court proceedings valued.
• Strong organisation, communication, legal research and drafting skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel expected.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal, legal research and administrative support to legal counsels.
• Assist with preparation and management of prosecution and court-related matters.
• Conduct regulatory prosecutions in State Courts and Youth Courts, including attending court and case preparation.
• Provide backend support for Night Court matters, held weekly where applicable.
• Assist with legal research, drafting and case management as required by the Legal Department.
