Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is seeking a Legal Counsel (Prosecution) to prosecute statutory offences under LTA's jurisdiction and to provide legal support to enforcement divisions.

You will liaise with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, State Courts and Singapore Police Force, while staying forward-thinking on legal implications of evolving transport technologies. Training in advocacy and procedural matters will be provided.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Law
• Qualified Person under the Legal Profession Act or called to the Singapore Bar
• Pro-active, solution and service-oriented mind set
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, willing to learn, collaborative and a team player
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good communication, drafting and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Prosecute statutory offences under the purview of the Land Transport Authority across multiple Acts and subsidiary legislation.
• Assist in providing legal support to enforcement and investigation divisions within LTA.
• Liaise with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the State Courts and Singapore Police Force.
• Engage in forward-thinking to anticipate and address legal implications arising from disruptive transport technologies.
