Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore seeks a Legal Counsel (Prosecution) to join its Legal division. The role focuses on prosecuting statutory offences related to land transport, including road traffic, active mobility, and electric vehicle infrastructure, while providing legal advisory support to internal enforcement and investigation teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Law.
• Qualified Person under the Legal Profession Act or called to the Singapore Bar.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prosecution of statutory offences under various Acts, including the Road Traffic Act, Active Mobility Act, and Electric Vehicle Charging Act.
• Provide legal support and advice to LTA enforcement and investigation divisions.
• Liaise with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the State Courts, and the Singapore Police Force.
• Engage with emerging and disruptive transport technologies from a legal perspective.
• Participate in training regarding advocacy, court craft, criminal procedure and evidence.
