Job summary

SHIMIZU CORPORATION in Singapore seeks a Planning Engineer/Officer to assist in developing and updating comprehensive project schedules and progress reports. You will support the Project Manager in coordinating sub-contractor schedules and align them to the master plan.

You will attend planning reviews and meetings, document minutes, and help maintain CPM schedules, calendars, WBS/CBS codes, and audit trails in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 at an intermediate level.
• Solid understanding of CPM and scheduling principles.
• Capable of preparing and updating project schedules and progress reports under supervision.
• Experience in claim letters and EOT analysis is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with contract/client planning requirements and coding standards.
• Maintain data quality: calendars, codes (WBS/OBS/CBS), versions, audit trail.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project (Or Primavera P6) at a intermediate level.
• Solid understanding of the Critical Path Method (CPM) and fundamental scheduling principles.
• Capable of assisting in the preparation and regular updating of project schedules, progress reports, and resource allocation charts under supervision
• Experience in the preparation of claim letters and Extension of Time (EOT) delay analysis is an added advantage.
