Job summary

DURKEE ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking a results-driven professional for Business Development & Project Sales in Singapore.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, and design firms to pursue construction projects, tender opportunities, and government tenders. You will expand the customer network, promote our building materials and solutions, prepare proposals, and negotiate orders.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Building, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in project sales within the building materials, construction equipment, or engineering industry.
Solid knowledge of the Singapore construction industry, tendering and contract processes.
Proven ability to develop new business and manage project-based sales opportunities.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to conduct regular customer visits and occasional business travel.
Valid Class 3 driving licence preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders: developers, main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and design firms.
Identify and pursue new construction projects, tender opportunities, and government projects.
Expand and strengthen the customer network to generate new business opportunities.
Promote building materials, equipment, and technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
Prepare quotations, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
Conduct commercial negotiations and secure project orders.
Manage projects through the full sales cycle from tendering to contract award and delivery.
Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Installation teams for smooth execution.
Monitor progress, address issues, and provide timely support.
Conduct regular customer visits for long-term relationships and identify upsell opportunities.
Provide market intelligence and support strategy with industry events.
