Job summary

Gain City Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical) to oversee mechanical engineering projects in Singapore, including ACMV and BMS, from inception to completion. You will plan, manage and deliver mechanical works safely, on schedule and within budget, meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.

You will review drawings, coordinate with clients and contractors, oversee installation and handover, and manage costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Typically 5–10 years of proven mechanical project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment.
• Familiar with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD/BIM knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Excellent coordination across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to changes.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues on-site and provide engineering solutions promptly.
• Manage material requisition, procurement, and delivery planning.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and progress claims.
• Prepare and submit technical proposals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Lead progress meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.

About the role

This role ensures that all mechanical works, including Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Building Management System (BMS), are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.

• Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice
• Familiar with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in project management tools and MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
