WAH LOON ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks an Assistant / Project Manager to lead ACMV systems delivery within the built environment. You will oversee planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, safety, quality, cost and schedule compliance across multiple concurrent projects.
You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and authorities, and ensure rigorous testing, commissioning and handover. Strong leadership and a solid engineering background are essential.
The Assistant / Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of Mechanical services such ACMV systems within the built environment sector. The role oversees project planning, execution, stakeholder management, safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of ACMV systems in within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
Manage and coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, clients, and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee electrical engineering works, including installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
Monitor project progress, risks, resources, costs, and contractual obligations, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements.
Prepare project reports, forecasts, and documentation for management and client review.
Foster strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement in project delivery and operational excellence.
Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance, including anti-corruption, anti-competition, conflict of interest, human rights, fair employment, and responsible business conduct.
Key Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in handling ACMV operations for construction, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, residential, healthcare, institutional, or other built environment projects.
Strong knowledge of ACMV systems and maintenance, building services, project execution, testing and commissioning.
Good understanding of project management, contract administration, risk management, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) practices.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
