Job summary

Gain City Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) in Singapore to oversee planning, management and execution of mechanical projects from inception to completion. You will ensure ACMV and BMS works are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget, meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.

You will review drawings, develop plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage installation, testing, handover, and on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical project management.
• Knowledge of electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment; familiar with codes.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, manpower loading, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design, standards, and safety regulations.
• Resolve technical issues on-site and provide engineering solutions promptly.
• Manage material requisition, procurement, and delivery planning.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and progress claims.
• Ensure works are executed within approved budgets and contractual conditions.
• Ensure mechanical works follow local codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) to oversee the planning, managing and executing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that all mechanical works, including Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Building Management System (BMS), are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.

About you

• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in mechanical project management
• Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice
• Familiar with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in project management tools and MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM is an advantage.
