Job summary

BESTBUILT CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Project Director in overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of construction projects in Singapore.

You will lead site teams, coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure projects adhere to drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role requires strong planning and decisive leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
• Experience managing construction projects or major work scopes independently.
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in planning and management of construction projects.
• Oversee day-to-day project execution and site operations.
• Lead and coordinate engineers, assistant project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, procurement, submissions, and milestones.
• Ensure projects are carried out according to drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and resource constraints, and implement timely solutions.
• Prepare, review, and update project schedules, work programmes, progress reports, manpower plans, and project documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed according to schedule and required standards.
• Work closely with the Quantity Surveying team on variations, claims, procurement, cost control, and commercial matters.

About the role
