Job summary

M JACK MARINE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Project Planner to organize schedules, manpower, materials and subcontractors for shipyard projects. You will review specifications and coordinate activities across maintenance, repair, conversion and marine construction.

The role requires liaising with owners, managers and suppliers, attending meetings, and ensuring safety, quality and timely completion of works, with comprehensive documentation and handover records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules, milestones and work plans.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Review project specifications, drawings and technical requirements.
• Manage ship repair, maintenance, conversion, fabrication or marine construction activities.
• Liaise with ship owners, ship managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Coordinate work permits, inspections and client approvals.
• Ensure work is carried out according to Singapore workplace safety requirements and shipyard procedures.
• Coordinate risk assessments, method statements, toolbox meetings and safety inspections.
• Ensure workers follow PPE and safe-work requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure work complies with approved specifications.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and rectification works.
• Maintain project documentation and quality records.
• Monitor project costs, manpower and material usage.
• Track project milestones and prevent delays.
• Manage variations, additional works and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate final inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Prepare completion documentation and handover records.
• Ensure outstanding defects and rectification works are completed.

Project Planning

Client & Contractor Coordination
