Job summary

KONG MENG SAN PHOR KARK SEE MONASTERY is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan and execute Buddhist rituals, retreats, workshops and courses. You will coordinate logistics, liaise with speakers and volunteers, and handle enquiries while maintaining documentation and safety compliance.

The role requires a Diploma in Project or Event Management, at least one year of experience, and bilingual English and Mandarin communication.

Job description

The Spiritual Events department is where Buddhist rituals, activities and programmes are planned and organised, providing a platform to the public who wish to deepen their understanding about Buddhism and practise Dharma.

Your Role:

• Plan and execute events, retreats, workshops and courses etc.
• Manage venue setup, coordinate logistics and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Liaise with external stakeholders (i.e. speakers, vendors and volunteers etc.) to facilitate the execution
• Handle public calls and email enquiries, provide administrative support and maintain proper documentation
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health guidelines

What You Bring:

• Qualification: Diploma in Project / Event Management or related fields
• Year(s) of Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experiences
• Language(s): Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with both English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Required Knowledge/Skill(s): Communication and interpersonal skills, Project/ Event management skills, Networking skills
• A good team player with positive work attitude
• Able to work on weekend(s), public holiday(s) and irregular working hour(s)
• Possess adequate Buddhism knowledge will be of an advantage
