Job summary

YINSHENG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support on-site project planning and execution, study drawings, and coordinate workloads with the project team. You will ensure safety, quality, and ISO documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves preparing progress claims, tracking materials and equipment, and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided and you should be prepared to work 5.5 days per week.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with focus on mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer in project planning and on-site coordination.
• Study drawings, plans, specifications and scope of work.
• Responsible for submission of material samples and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction progress, materials, plant and equipment.
• Verify material requisitions and take-off quantities/site measurement.
• Prepare progress claims to main contractor monthly.
• Prepare payment certificates and verify subcontractor work progress.
• Ensure quality standards and safety requirements are adhered to.
• Work closely with project team and resolve technical issues.
• Perform HVAC calculations (heating/cooling load, equipment sizing, external static pressure).
• Maintain, manage and document according to ISO Standards.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists Project Manager/ Senior Project Engineer in project planning and to co-ordinate and oversee all work on the site.
• Study drawing, plans, specifications, and scope of work.
• Responsible for the submission of material samples and shop drawings.
• Monitoring closely of construction work progress, materials, plant, and equipment.
• Verification of material requisition and taking off quantities/site measurement.
• Prepare progress claim to the main contractor on monthly basis.
• Prepare payment certificate and verify subcontractor work progress.
• Ensure quality standards and Safety Requirements are adhered to.
• Work closely with the project team and resolve all technical issues.
• Familiar with calculations involving heating/cooling load, equipment sizing (MV& AHU), Electrical load, and external static pressure calculation
• Maintain, manage, and document according to ISO Standards.
• Able to execute multiple tasks and projects
• Other related duties, as assigned
