Job summary

JEL MAINTENANCE PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Site Engineer with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering to support construction and maintenance projects on live plant environments.

You will assist the Project Engineer, prepare schedules, proposals for tenders, monitor QA/QC, HSE, budgets, and coordinate with clients and project teams. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; strong time management and leadership will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering, fresh graduates preferred.
• Interest to work in Construction industry as site engineer including live plant environment.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Project management and supervision skills.
• Decision making ability and leadership skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering construction and maintenance projects.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders and participate in client negotiations.
• Monitor compliance to codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
• Monitor compliance of HSE policies and practices and participate in HSE initiatives.
• Perform overall control of the assigned work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

Responsibilities

Work in different departments to gain perspective including Construction projects, Maintenance projects, Business development, Planning and Estimation, QA/QC, HSE, purchasing and costing.

Assist the Project Engineer in the following areas.

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering construction and maintenance projects


• Prepare the technical and commercial proposals for tenders and participate in the negotiations with the clients


• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications


• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
