Job summary

ACCESSTECH ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced BMS engineer to design control panels and produce design documents for Building Management Systems on site.

You will maintain and enhance BMS installations, coordinate with clients, consultants and vendors, ensure safety standards, and prepare operation manuals while aligning with Singapore codes.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or computer engineering.
• 3–5 years of local construction engineering experience.
• Experience in BMS installation and monitoring of ACMV, lighting, and power metering.
• Strong communication and ability to interact with clients and consultants.
• Ability to work on-site with safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design control panels for Building Management Systems.
• Produce design documents for BMS.
• Ensure BMS software and equipment meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain existing BMS including testing and software updates.
• Prepare Operation and Maintenance manuals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on site to meet project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Draft detailed work schedules, resource planning and manpower.
• Coordinate on-site safety management.
• Monitor project progress and reporting.
• Understand Singapore standards or Code of Practice.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk controls.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Designing control panels for Building Management System
• Produce design documents for BMS
• Ensure Building Management System software or equipment aligns with safety and quality standards
• Maintaining existing Building Management System by fixing errors, running tests and updating software
• Preparation of Operation Maintenance Manual
• Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
• Coordinate, liaise and manage various project stakeholders including customers, consultants, sub- contractors, vendors, etc. on site to ensure project requirements are met.
• Able to communicate effective to all stakeholders.
• Prepare and create detail work schedule, manpower and resource planning.
• Coordinate the safety management system on site.
• Follow up and reporting on the project progress.
• Able to understand Singapore standards or Code of Practice.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective risk control measures. Make sure the work environment is safe. Make sure adequate safety measures are taken for any machinery, equipment, plant, article or process used at the workplace.
• All other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by reporting manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant Qualification in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics/ Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Possess 3 to 5 years relevant experience in the local Construction Engineering industry. Including manufacturing plant construction, Data Centre fit-out works, etc.
• Able to build and install BMS system to monitor and regulate various building services, including ACMV, lighting and power metering, etc.
• Outgoing with strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and target oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact effectively with Clients, Consultants, project members and managers at all levels.
