Job summary

AUTOMATED LAB PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced BMS Project Engineer to manage projects from design through commissioning on site. You will focus on Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) and integrate HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and lighting control systems.

The role is hands-on and site-based, working with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure installation, programming and commissioning meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction, BMS, ELV, M&E, automation or smart building projects.
• At least 1 year hands-on BMS/BAS programming, including ACMV control, UI, & dashboard design.
• Experience with Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) products and systems.
• Experience with ACMV/HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, VAV, pumps, FCUs).

Responsibilities

• Review project specs, tender requirements, drawings, equipment schedules, and BMS points lists.
• Develop BMS system architecture, control philosophy, and integration strategy.
• Design and produce control system schematics from tender documents.
• Prepare wiring and equipment layout drawings to support schematics.
• Brief electricians and contractors on wiring, installation, and coordination requirements.
• Install BMS equipment on site and perform on-site testing, commissioning, and handover.

The role

We are looking for an experienced BMS Project Engineer who can take projects from design through commissioning with confidence.

The BMS Project Engineer is responsible for delivering Building Management System (BMS) projects on site, from design and engineering through installation, programming, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover. The role focuses primarily on Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO), and on integrating building services such as HVAC/ACMV, electrical, fire protection, lighting control, plumbing, and sanitary systems.

This is a hands-on, site-based role. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to get systems installed, programmed, and commissioned correctly.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in construction, BMS, ELV, M&E, automation, or smart building projects.
• At least 1 year of hands-on BMS/BAS programming experience, including ACMV control, UI, point binding and dashboard design/programming.
• Experience with Schneider EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) products and systems.
• Experience with ACMV/HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation fans, VAV systems and variable-speed drives.
• Experience in wiring/cabling, electrical design, and installation.
• Ability to read and interpret building electrical wiring schematics.
• Familiarity with Modbus, LonWorks, BACnet and other BMS-related protocols.
• Basic understanding of IT networks, IP addressing, servers, cybersecurity, and system backups.
• Strong on-site troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate the company's products and approach clearly to clients.
• Independent, hardworking, eager to learn, and comfortable working on site with clients and contractors.

Roles and responsibilities

• Review project specifications, tender requirements, drawings, equipment schedules, and BMS points lists.
• Develop the BMS system architecture, control philosophy, network topology, and integration strategy.
• Design and produce control system schematics based on tender documents and client requirements.
• Prepare wiring, cabling, and equipment layout drawings to support the approved schematics.
• Brief electricians and contractors on wiring, installation, and coordination requirements.
• Install BMS equipment, electrical automation panels, and field devices on site, including FCU controllers, lighting, temperature, occupancy, and water sensors.
• Carry out on-site testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and client handover.
• Coordinate daily with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep installation and commissioning on programme.
• Communicate the company's products, systems, and project approach clearly to clients.
