Job summary

ODS Metering Systems Asia Pacific invites a Project Engineer to join our Singapore team, coordinating with global offices on bids and projects in the AP region. You will travel internationally and engage with customers and vendors to ensure compliant, timely delivery of custody transfer metering projects.

You bring at least 3 years in project engineering/management, a B.Sc. in an engineering discipline, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Asia Pacific Manager and Project Managers & Engineers from ODS offices worldwide, coordinating on active bids and ongoing projects across the region
• Establish and maintain a network with customers and suppliers throughout the Asia Pacific region, becoming a trusted technical point of contact for clients
• Provide technical support to the Sales team during the tender and bid phase, including reviewing client specifications, preparing technical proposals, and clarifying scope with clients and vendors
• Facilitate start-up, commissioning, and after-sales service activities for custody transfer metering systems on client sites across the Asia Pacific region, working directly with EPC contractors and end clients
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams at ODS offices in the Netherlands (HQ), Belgium, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil to align on project execution, technical standards, and lessons learned across regions
• Ensure that daily activities and work procedures comply with QHSE and Compliance policies, both on client sites and in day-to-day project coordination

About the Role

ODS Metering Systems has been providing custody transfer metering solutions since 1950, as an independent EPC contractor combining expertise in mechanical engineering, instrumentation, electrical engineering, software, and process automation. We are looking for an ambitious Project Engineer to join our Asia Pacific (Singapore) department, supporting the growth of our footprint across the region.

Roles & Responsibilities

As Project Engineer for our Asia Pacific (Singapore) department, you will:

• Work closely with the Asia Pacific Manager and Project Managers & Engineers from ODS offices worldwide, coordinating on active bids and ongoing projects across the region
• Establish and maintain a network with customers and suppliers throughout the Asia Pacific region, becoming a trusted technical point of contact for clients

International Exposure

This role sits at the intersection of ODS's global project network. You will regularly interact with colleagues across our offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil — engineers, project managers, and commercial staff working on the same class of custody transfer metering projects, often for the same multinational EPC contractors and oil & gas operators active in your region. This means exposure to how metering projects are engineered, executed, and serviced across different markets and regulatory environments, and the opportunity to draw on a global pool of technical expertise when solving challenges on your own projects. Depending on project needs, this may also include international travel to client sites, other ODS offices, or supplier facilities, giving you hands‑on visibility into how a project moves from bid to commissioning across the full lifecycle — not just within a single region, but as part of a company operating on a genuinely global scale.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in project engineering or project management
• B.Sc. level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, or process automation)
• Experience with project engineering/management within flow metering or a related industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under time pressure and adapt to changing project demands
• Flexible and willing to travel internationally and work outside office hours when required
• Comfortable working in a cross-cultural, multi-office environment, coordinating with colleagues and clients across different time zones and business cultures
