Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE LTD is seeking a Project Engineer to plan and coordinate mechanical cooling projects from initiation to completion. You will manage schedules, vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely, quality delivery in a data centre cooling context.

The role is on-site at Kaki Bukit with opportunities for regional travel across Asia. The ideal candidate holds a Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, has at least 2 years of project engineering experience with cooling systems, and can

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in project engineering with cooling systems.
• Hands-on installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of cooling systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Asia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate mechanical cooling system projects from start to finish.
• Manage schedules, resources, vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Review drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Coordinate equipment installation, testing, start-up and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot site issues with internal/ external teams and implement solutions.
• Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors and technical teams.
• Conduct project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Prepare documentation, risk assessments, method statements and safety reports.
• Support progress claims and variations; assist with post-handover issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training on system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Travel regionally across Asia as needed for project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate mechanical cooling system projects from project commencement to completion.

• Manage project schedules, resources, vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery.

• Review technical drawings, specifications and project requirements.

• Coordinate and oversee equipment installation, testing, start-up and commissioning.

• Troubleshoot technical and site issues and work with internal and external teams to implement solutions.

• Liaise closely with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal technical teams.

• Conduct project meetings and provide regular project progress updates.

• Prepare project documentation, risk assessments, method statements and safety reports.

• Support progress claims, variation orders and other project-related documentation.

• Provide technical guidance and training to customers or local partners on system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Support project handover and provide technical assistance for post-handover issues.

• Travel regionally across Asia when required to support project execution and commissioning activities.

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Possess minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project engineering, with hands-on experience in cooling systems, preferably involving data centre cooling solutions, CRAC, precision air-conditioning or other mission‑critical cooling infrastructure.

• Hands‑on experience in the installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting of cooling systems.

• Willingness to travel extensively across Asia to support project execution.
