Job summary

HYRED in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer to own customer projects from post-sales handover through deployment, commissioning, customer acceptance and closure. You will challenge assumptions, coordinate technical teams and ensure projects are commercially viable.

The role requires coordinating Field Engineering, AI/ML, Product, Sales, customers and external vendors, with a focus on timelines, budgets and risk management. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in systems integration, IoT, and electrical/mechanical projects.
• Experience coordinating projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong customer-facing communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from internal handover through final customer acceptance.
• Build and maintain project plans covering scope, milestones, resources, procurement, site activity and documentation.
• Translate commercial commitments into executable project plans.
• Coordinate Field Engineering, AI/ML, Product, Sales, customers and external vendors.
• Review deployment designs, site surveys, bills of materials and approaches.
• Control timelines, manpower, equipment, logistics and project expenditure.
• Identify cost overruns and project risks early.
• Manage scope changes and variation requirements.
• Lead customer kick-offs, project reviews and coordination meetings.
• Manage installation and system integrators; ensure site readiness and handover.
• Maintain risk, change, cost and action registers; complete documentation.

We are supporting a Singapore-headquartered industrial AI company delivering IoT and AI solutions across industrial environments including manufacturing, maritime, aerospace, logistics and infrastructure.

They are looking for a Project Engineer to own customer projects from post-sales handover through deployment, commissioning, customer acceptance and closure.

This is not a pure project-coordination position. You will need enough engineering understanding to challenge assumptions, coordinate technical teams and ensure projects remain commercially and operationally viable.

What you’ll own

• Manage projects from internal handover through final customer acceptance.
• Build and maintain project plans covering:

• Coordinate Field Engineering, AI/ML, Product, Sales, customers and external vendors.
• Review deployment designs, site surveys, bills of materials and implementation approaches.
• Control timelines, manpower, equipment, logistics and project expenditure.
• Identify cost overruns and project risks early.
• Manage scope changes and variation requirements.
• Lead customer kick-offs, project reviews and technical coordination meetings.
• Manage installation contractors, electrical contractors and system integrators.
• Coordinate site readiness, permits, commissioning and handover.
• Maintain project risk, change, cost and action registers.
• Ensure appropriate technical and project documentation is completed.

The role owns both project execution and commercial controls, including schedule, resources, budget, risk and scope management.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in areas such as:
• Systems Integration
• IoT
• Electrical / Mechanical Projects
• Experience coordinating projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project schedules, resources, budgets, risks and scope.
• Ability to read technical drawings, engineering documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Strong customer-facing communication.
• Commercial awareness and ability to balance engineering requirements against cost and project profitability.
• Comfortable managing contractors and vendors.
• Willing to travel internationally when required.

Experience with project costing, quotations, variation orders or commercial project controls is particularly useful.
