Job summary

XRETAIL SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a technically skilled, commercially driven Project Engineer in Singapore to manage AI, IoT, CCTV, and smart-technology projects.

You will engage B2B customers, translate business needs into technical solutions, support sales, coordinate implementations, and ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities include leading project lifecycles, conducting site surveys, configuring devices, and validating system readiness for handover.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales or solution delivery experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of AI, IoT, CCTV and networking.
• English fluency; Mandarin/Japanese helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead full customer and project lifecycle from lead generation to after-sales support.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementations for AI/IoT/CCTV.
• Conduct site surveys for installation locations and network/power availability.
• Configure devices, network connectivity, cameras, and IoT equipment per specs.
• Perform system testing and troubleshoot to ensure project success.
• Validate readiness before handover, including UAT and data accuracy.
• Engage customers in meetings to understand needs and propose solutions.
• Prepare basic solution architectures and support proposals/quotations.
• Deliver product demonstrations and support POC discussions.
• Maintain relationships with customers with ongoing support.

Job Summary

We seek a technically skilled, commercially driven Project Engineer to manage AI, IoT, CCTV, and smart-technology projects. You will engage B2B customers, translate business needs into technical solutions, support sales, coordinate implementations, and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full customer and project lifecycle from B2B lead generation through after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction
• Translate business and operational requirements into effective technical implementations for AI, IoT, CCTV, and related technologies
• Conduct detailed site surveys assessing installation locations, camera placement, network and power availability, cable routing, and site constraints
• Configure devices, network connectivity, cameras, and IoT equipment during deployment to meet project specifications
• Perform system testing, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with contractors, and ensure corrective actions are completed
• Validate system readiness before customer handover by testing device, network, camera, IoT, server/cloud connectivity, AI functions, data accuracy, API/integration, system performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Engage customers in meetings to conduct technical discovery, understand operational needs, and recommend tailored solutions
• Prepare basic solution architectures, recommend appropriate hardware and software, and support technical proposals and quotations
• Deliver product demonstrations and support proof-of-concept (POC) or pilot project discussions to showcase solutions
• Maintain professional customer relationships throughout projects by providing regular updates and ongoing after-sales support

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven B2B experience engaging directly with businesses, corporate clients, retailers, system integrators, distributors, or commercial organizations
• Practical technical knowledge supporting AI, IoT, CCTV, networking, and technology project delivery
• Basic-to-intermediate networking skills including IP addressing, IPv4, DHCP, static IP, subnetting, default gateway, DNS, LAN/WAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, network switches, PoE switches, VLAN basics, firewall fundamentals, Internet connectivity, bandwidth, and device-to-server communication
• Practical experience with CCTV/IP cameras including installation, IP configuration, PoE cameras, bandwidth management, NVR/VMS concepts, RTSP, ONVIF, video streaming, camera positioning, firmware updates, and commissioning
• Basic knowledge of IoT device deployment and configuration
• Basic programming or scripting skills, preferably Python, including programming logic, Python fundamentals, simple scripts, JSON, APIs, REST API concepts, data exchange, and basic automation
• Ability to communicate professionally in English, Mandarin, and Japanese

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous sales experience in technology, IT, telecommunications, engineering, security, AI, IoT, CCTV, software, cloud, or system integration sales
• Experience selling, promoting, supporting, or managing AI solutions, AI video analytics, people-counting systems, footfall analytics, customer traffic analytics, occupancy monitoring, queue analytics, CCTV/IP cameras, video surveillance, NVR/VMS, security systems, access control, IoT solutions, smart-building technology, smart-retail solutions, retail analytics, edge AI, cloud monitoring, computer vision, or digital transformation solutions
