Job summary

Omega 365 Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to plan, monitor and execute steel fabrication projects in our offshore and marine sector. You will develop construction drawings, methodologies, calculations and risk assessments for site execution, and coordinate with procurement for vendor selection.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and at least 2 years of steel fabrication experience, with knowledge of project management, AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma in engineering in oil, gas, offshore and marine industry.
• Preferable with ≥2 years of steel fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of project management processes.
• Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD; 3D modeling is a plus.
• Know steel fabrication processes, standard procedures and classifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and execute project activities.
• Develop construction drawings, methodologies and calculations for site execution.
• Develop MTO and coordinate with procurement for vendor selection.
• Arrange resources for project execution.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and production on fabrication progress.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and report progress to stakeholders.
• Handle site queries and related tasks.

Qualification & Requirements

• Min. Diploma in engineering on oil gas, offshore & marine industry.
• Preferable with min. 2 years of steel fabrication experience
• Knowledges in project management process
• Knowledges in 2D AutoCAD (3D modeling will be plus point), MS Office and MS Project.
• Knowledges in steel fabrication process and procedures, in fabrication standard and classification rules.
• Knowledges in engineering calculation.
• Knowledges in steel materials properties (grade, thickness, EN Standard)
• Knowledges in welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, SAW and GTAW)
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate to people of different levels

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities to plan, monitoring and execute project.
• Develop construction drawing, construction methodology and procedures, engineering calculation and risk assessment for site execution.
• Develop MTO (Material Take Off) list and coordinate with procurement team for the vendor selection.
• Plan and arrange required resources for project execution
• Work closely with QA/QC team for inspection plan
• Work closely with production for fabrication process and project progress.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team and third party inspector
• Ensure daily work activities incorporates with HSE standard
• Report project progress to all stakeholders.
• Manage project site query.
• Performs any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Salary

$3,500- $4,500/ month
