Job summary

Omega AS in Singapore is seeking a project engineer with a Diploma in engineering and at least 2 years of steel fabrication experience. The role involves planning, monitoring and executing projects, developing construction drawings and procedures, and coordinating with procurement, QA/QC and production to ensure schedules and safety standards are met.

Candidates should be proficient in 2D AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project, with knowledge of welding processes and engineering calculations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering (oil, gas, offshore & marine).
• Preferable with min. 2 years of steel fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of project management processes.
• Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD (3D modeling a plus).
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and execute project.
• Develop construction drawings, methodologies and procedures, engineering calculations and risk assessments for site execution.
• Develop MTO lists and coordinate with procurement.
• Plan and arrange resources for project execution.
• Work with QA/QC on inspection plans.
• Collaborate with Production on fabrication processes and project progress.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and third-party inspectors.
• Ensure daily activities comply with HSE standards.
• Report project progress to stakeholders.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Min. Diploma in engineering on oil gas, offshore & marine industry.
• Preferable with min. 2 years of steel fabrication experience
• Knowledges in project management process
• Knowledges in 2D AutoCAD (3D modeling will be plus point), MS Office and MS Project.
• Knowledges in steel fabrication process and procedures, in fabrication standard and
• Knowledges in engineering calculation.
• Knowledges in steel materials properties (grade, thickness, EN Standard)
• Knowledges in welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, SAW and GTAW)
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate to people of different levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities to plan, monitoring and execute project.
• Develop construction drawing, construction methodology and procedures, engineering calculation and risk assessment for site execution.
• Develop MTO (Material Take Off) list and coordinate with procurement team for the
