Job summary

ACP Computer Training School in Singapore seeks a capable Project Coordinator to support rail E&M projects. You will review submissions, supervise site installation, testing, and handover, and coordinate with project teams and contractors to keep work aligned with requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Network, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M systems.
• Experience coordinating with local transit stakeholders for A&A, system upgrades, or new systems at revenue stations.
• Familiarity with PTW, Mod Approval, and engineering access procedures.
• Willing to perform night or engineering-hours work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Willing to travel regularly between office and sites.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team in the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project requirement;
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, interfacing matters, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with project requirement;
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
• Facilitate project team to monitor the project schedule, update, review and report the project progress to be in line with project timeline;
• Attend project related meetings to ensure project delivery is on track;
• Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation, network equipment installation and testing and commissioning activities;
• Facilitate resolution of site constraints, routing conflicts, FO core allocation issues and implementation-related technical matters;
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of network equipment configuration issues, communication failures, network connectivity issues and system integration issues encountered during installation, testing, commissioning and migration activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Recognised diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Network, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline;
• Relevant project management experience:
• At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M system, communications network or fibre optic infrastructure in Singapore transit environment; and
• Relevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system implementation work at revenue stations; and
• Familiarity with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Mod Approval, engineering access procedures and stakeholder coordination in railway environments would be an advantage; and
• Be expected to perform night work or engineering-hours work where required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review;
• Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work independently;
• Good collaboration and attitude to work with team members;
• Ability to cope with flexible working hours;
• Be expected to perform night work or work during engineering hours;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication skills in English; and
• Be expected to travel regularly between office and sites.
