Job Summary
The Project Engineer will lead project coordination, supervise installation and testing, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant delivery of rail E&M system projects in Singapore's transit environment.
Responsibilities
- Review project submissions including specifications, drawings, test procedures, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Facilitate project team follow-ups on submission compliance to maintain project standards
- Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, integration testing, punchlist resolution, and handover activities to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, interfacing contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes, ensuring alignment with project requirements
- Monitor project schedules, update progress reports, and review timelines to keep projects on track
- Attend project-related, coordination, and interfacing meetings to support timely project delivery
- Support project management activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality standards
- Travel regularly between office and sites to oversee project activities
- Adapt to flexible working hours, including night shifts during engineering hours
Required competencies and certifications
- Recognized diploma or degree in Engineering (electronics or mechanical) or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of project coordination experience in site installation, testing, and commissioning of rail E&M systems within Singapore's transit environment
- Experience coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders, including railway/transit operators, for A&A, system upgrades, or new system implementations at revenue stations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM, or similar drawing tools for design drawing review
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in Automatic Fare Collection System upgrades, relocations, and system migration projects in transit environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to project challenges
- Effective communication skills in English to manage diverse stakeholders
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work well within teams

- Contract Duration: 18 months
- Work Location: East Region
- Working Hours: Shifting schedule with night shifts as required during engineering hours
- Salary Range: SGD 5,000 - 7,000 (no bonus)
- Working Arrangement: Full Onsite
