Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• BCA-recognized qualification where applicable.
• 8–10 years of experience managing major building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore construction practices, regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Proven leadership and project management skills with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in project planning, cost control, contract management, quality assurance, and workplace safety.
• Effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead building construction projects by setting clear direction and aligning teams to project goals.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure timely execution and successful completion.
• Monitor and control project schedule, costs, quality standards, and safety performance to meet targets.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and site personnel to optimize performance.
• Review and approve construction programmes, budgets, resource allocation, and project deliverables for compliance and feasibility.
• Track project progress and implement corrective actions promptly to address deviations or delays.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, manage contractual issues, and resolve potential delays proactively.
• Ensure full compliance with Building and Construction Authority (BCA) requirements, building regulations, workplace safety standards, and company policies.
• Participate in project meetings and provide comprehensive progress reports to senior management.
• Manage project variations, claims, procurement processes, and commercial matters to safeguard project interests.
• Maintain thorough documentation, enforce quality control measures, and oversee timely project handover.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, productivity, and construction processes.

Required competencies and certifications
