Job summary

TECH ONSHORE MEP-PREFABRICATORS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an accomplished executive to define strategic direction and drive exponential growth across construction and MEP projects. You will lead senior management and shape long-term plans to expand client bases and markets.

You will oversee budgets, profitability, risk, and regulatory compliance while nurturing key client and partner relationships and guiding major tenders and contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, MEP, or project management.
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies and long-term growth plans.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing senior management and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and manage risks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's strategic direction, business plans, and growth objectives.
  • Establish annual operational and financial targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, clients, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, developers, contractors, consultants, and business partners.
  • Lead major tender, negotiation, and business development activities.
  • Review potential projects and assess commercial viability before committing company resources.
  • Oversee company revenue, profitability, cash flow, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Review major contracts, tenders, variations, claims, and commercial commitments.
  • Implement strategies to improve profitability and control operational costs.
  • Provide executive oversight of major construction and engineering projects.
  • Review project performance, costs, risks, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure Project Directors and senior management teams achieve agreed objectives.
  • Ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and corporate policies.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant BCA, MOM, WSH, ACRA, IRAS, and other regulatory requirements applicable to the business.
  • Establish organisational structures, responsibilities, and performance objectives.
  • Develop succession planning and workforce capability.
  • Promote professionalism, accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company at senior management and board-level meetings.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with major clients and business partners.
  • Handle major commercial, contractual, and operational matters.
  • Identify major corporate and project risks.
  • Establish appropriate risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the company's response to significant operational, financial, contractual, or regulatory issues.
  • Improve business processes, productivity, project delivery, and resource utilisation.
  • Promote the adoption of technology, digitalisation, prefabrication, DFMA, and other productivity-enhancing initiatives where appropriate.
  • Ensure the organisation maintains high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report business performance, financial results, major projects, risks, and strategic matters to the Board/shareholders.
  • Provide recommendations on major investments, acquisitions, projects, manpower, and business expansion.
