Job summary

SPEED ENGINEERING SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Coordinator / Interior Designer to support renovation and interior fit-out projects. The role combines interior design with site coordination from measurement and design planning to handover.

Fresh graduates are welcome; training provided. You will work on SketchUp 3D designs, space planning, coordinating trades, and liaising with clients to ensure projects meet drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, Building, Construction or related field.
• Fresh graduates and newcomers to the renovation industry are welcome to apply.
• Experience in renovation, interior fit-out or construction will be an advantage but is not compulsory.
• Able to use SketchUp for 3D interior design and space planning.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software will be an advantage.
• Able or willing to read construction and interior drawings.
• Willing to learn renovation site coordination and project management.
• Comfortable working both in the office and at project sites.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate and coordinate with clients, workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Responsible, organised and detail-oriented.
• Good problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to manage tasks independently after training and guidance.
• Willing to travel to different project sites within Singapore.
• Possession of a valid Singapore driving licence will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate renovation and interior fit-out projects from commencement to completion.
• Conduct site visits, site measurements and site assessments.
• Prepare SketchUp 3D designs, space planning and presentation drawings for renovation projects.
• Develop interior design concepts and layouts based on client requirements and actual site conditions.
• Coordinate daily site activities with workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, workmanship and site conditions.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and work sequences.
• Coordinate different trades including carpentry, tiling, ceiling, partition, painting, electrical and plumbing works.
• Follow up on materials, deliveries, subcontractors and outstanding site works.
• Identify site issues and coordinate suitable solutions with the relevant parties.
• Liaise with clients regarding design requirements, project progress and site matters.
• Attend project and site meetings when required.
• Prepare progress updates, site photographs and basic project documentation.
• Assist with selection of materials, finishes, laminates, tiles, colours, sanitary fittings and other interior finishes.
• Coordinate design requirements with actual site conditions before works commence.
• Assist with quotations, variation works and project documentation when required.
• Assist with project handover, defect rectification and completion works.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator / Interior Designer to join our team and support our renovation and interior fit-out projects.

The successful candidate will be involved in both interior design and project/site coordination, from initial site measurement and design planning through to project completion and handover.

This position is suitable for candidates who enjoy a combination of design work and hands-on site management.

This position offers a basic salary with an attractive commission-based incentive structure, where additional earnings will be tied to projects secured, sales performance, and successful project completion.
