This role focuses on optimizing the 6Rs of Logistics (Right Material, Price, Quality, Time, Place, and Conditions) by securing the most competitive costs, minimizing lead times, and ensuring strict On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality standards. Working closely with R'D, Production Planning, Finance, and Quality teams, the Project Buyer manages vendor performance, executes purchase orders in SAP, and leads global sourcing initiatives to support seamless supply chain operations and achieve strategic cost targets.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with local Production Planning teams to ensure alignment on material readiness.

  • Request, evaluate, and analyze supplier quotations swiftly to support fast-lane project timelines.

  • Process Intercompany Purchase Orders (ICPO) and resolve price variance discrepancies on invoices against POs.

Supplier Quality & Performance Management

  • Proactively drive supply chain quality improvements in coordination with R'D, Product Groups, Material Management, and Finance.

  • Maintain accurate SCM master data in systems, including vendor records, contracts, warehouse parameters, and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) settings.

  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct regular assessments, and establish corrective action plans for issues such as delivery delays (OTD) or quality gaps.

  • Identify, qualify, and onboard alternative suppliers when existing sources fail to meet performance standards.

Operational Governance & Accountability

  • Execute daily material purchasing operations while maintaining optimal inventory levels and material flows.

  • Ensure relevant supplier agreements (e.g., NDAs, General Purchase Terms) are executed and enforced.

  • Achieve defined cost-saving targets and continuously work to reduce total procurement lead times.
