Job summary

CHIAN TECK in Singapore is seeking an experienced BIM/Project Drafter to support the full project lifecycle from feasibility to as-built documentation for industrial buildings and structures. You will develop 3D BIM models in Revit, generate 2D AutoCAD drawings, coordinate with Architects, Engineers, and MEP teams, and ensure drawings reflect site conditions and project specs.

Overall Job Objectives

The BIM / Project Drafter is responsible for supporting the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and design development through construction and as-built documentation for industrial buildings and structures.

The role involves close collaboration with Architects, Design Managers, Project Managers, and project teams to develop, coordinate, and deliver accurate BIM models and construction drawings across Architectural and Structural disciplines, with coordination input from MEP shop drawings.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit for Architectural and Structural works

• Generate AutoCAD 2D drawings from BIM models, including:

  • Plans, layouts, sections, elevations

  • Schedules and detailed blow-up drawings

  • Update models and drawings through all project stages, including as-built documentation

  • Drawing Quality & Compliance

• Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with:

  • Applicable codes, standards, and project specifications

  • Company drafting standards and checking procedures

• Coordination & Collaboration

  • Assist in coordination with MEP shop drawings, including:

  • Identifying clashes and spatial conflicts

  • Ensuring alignment between Architectural, Structural, and MEP requirements

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, and site teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and construction requirements

  • Highlight drafting inconsistencies, design issues, or coordination conflicts promptly to the project team

• Information Management

  • Extract and generate required information from BIM models for submissions, coordination, and construction use

  • Maintain proper version control and drawing/model updates throughout the project lifecycle

• Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution

• Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling and construction drafting

  • Prior experience in industrial, commercial, or large-scale building projects is an advantage

• Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD

  • Able to read, interpret, and coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings

  • Strong understanding of construction detailing and buildability

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
