Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Program Specialist in Singapore to manage small to medium automation control projects (IBMS/BMS). You will oversee installation and commissioning activities, coordinate with subcontractors and customers, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain comprehensive project documentation and risk registers.

The role requires 4–5 years of delivery experience in automation controls, a Diploma in Engineering, and strong ability to analyze contract-level financial data and drive actions

Qualifications

• 4-5 years’ delivery experience of Automation Controls Systems (IBMS / BMS).
• Ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify actions from variances.
• Ability to obtain information from multiple sources, recognize trends and cause-effect relationships.
• Ability to make decisions and take clear action to address issues.
• Ability to mobilize resources and implement action plans to achieve results and commitments.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for completing assigned projects or work packages.
• Ensure on-time delivery within scope and with deviation control.
• Apply ProjectManagement methodology per guidelines during execution.
• Maintain Risk & Opportunity Schedule throughout the project life cycle.
• Maintain project documentation to support claims and change orders.
• Undertake site management of installation and commissioning activities with direct resources, subcontractors and customers.
• Ensure compliance with local and industry codes and Honeywell SOPs.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment through training and monitoring.
• Maintain WBS and ensure ETC and EAC are updated monthly.
• Coordinate with Integrated Supply Chain to reflect post-award savings in gross margin.
• Manage resources to sustain productivity and achieve project completion.
• Coordinate with Engineering Leader to ensure solution meets specifications.
• Drive cost reduction through value engineering and efficient processes.

The Program Specialist is responsible for the management of small, low risk projects They may be assigned on projects as Supervisors responsible for the installation and/or commissioning activities or the management of an assigned work package within a larger project.

• Overall responsibility for completing assigned projects or work packages.
• Ensures on time delivery of projects, within scope and with zero or positive deviation.
• Implement all applicable aspects of the HBS Project Management Methodology during the execution of projects through the use of ProjectVision.
• Maintain a comprehensive Risk & Opportunity Schedule throughout the project life cycle.
• Maintain an effective project documentation process to support extension of time claims, change order management and progress claims
• Undertake site management of installation & commissioning activities involving direct resources, subcontractors and 3rd parties including the customer.
• Ensure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheld.
• Ensures that Honeywell SOPs are adhered to.
• Drive for a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training and monitoring.
• Maintain a work breakdown structure (WBS) throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure that the Estimate to Complete (ETC) includes all outstanding contracted works and that the Estimate at Completion (EAC) is reviewed each month.
• Work with Integrated Supply Chain to ensure all Post Award Savings are reflected in the Gross Margin.
• Maintain a Program of Works throughout the project life cycle
• Effectively manages assigned resources to maintain productivity and achieve practical completion on the project.
• Work with Integrated Supply Chain to ensure materials are available at site as required to maintain the program.
• Coordinate the activities of sub-contractors to ensure they have sufficient resources to maintain the program of works
• Coordinate the technical requirements of the project with the Engineering Leader to ensure the final solution meets the requirements of the specification.
• Drive lower cost to serve through value Engineer and use of GES.

MUST HAVE

• 4-5 years’ delivery experience of Automation Controls Systems(IBMS / BMS)
• Diploma in Engineering
• The ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved.
• The ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships.
• The ability to make considered and effective decisions and take clear action to address issues.
• The ability to mobilize resources and develop and implement action plans / control mechanisms to achieve desired results and deliver on commitments.
• The ability to understand the implications and assess the appropriate degree of acceptable risk and take actions to minimize risk.
