Job summary

Alcon Laboratories Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technician II, Production Technical Operations (LS1) to operate manufacturing equipment for contact lenses and manage sterilization processes in a GMP-compliant cleanroom. You will work as part of a cross‑functional team to ensure high-quality products and data integrity.

The role requires a NITEC in engineering disciplines and at least 2 years in a manufacturing setting, with willingness to rotate shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• NITEC in mechanical engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, GMP/GDP-regulated manufacturing.
• Familiar with GMP and GDP.
• Experience in a cleanroom is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment to produce and package contact lenses.
• Operate autoclave to sterilize contact lenses.
• Ensure contact lenses are manufactured to the highest quality levels.
• Perform activities in compliance with GMP in a controlled environment.
• Maintain data integrity and traceability of information.
• Assist maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues; support Kaizen improvements.
