Job summary

HCL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced IT professional to provide L2/L3 production support for cloud-based applications within the Wealth Management domain. You will troubleshoot performance and security issues, monitor health with Splunk, Grafana, and Geneos, and maintain 24/7 operations to ensure business continuity.

You will work with data engineers and business teams, leveraging Oracle/SQL skills, ETL tools, and cloud data warehousing to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in Banking with App Dev/Production Support in Wealth Management
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and performance tuning
• Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS)
• Understanding data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake)
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Google BigQuery) a plus
• Unix and Windows scripting and batch processing
• Oracle PL/SQL development and troubleshooting
• Monitoring/automation tools: Control-M, Tivoli, Geneos, Splunk, Grafana
• DevOps mindset with automation and CI/CD
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a high-availability setting

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support to cloud-based application and services.
• Troubleshooting and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues.
• Monitor system health using tools like Splunk, Geneos, New relic and Grafana.
• Maintain 24/7 operational support model to ensure business continuity.
• Update the RUN Book and KEDB as & when required.
• Participation in production change review/documenting, raising appropriate CAB questions and ensuring the deployments of every change have followed the standards and completed successfully.
• Able to understand and debug Oracle procedures, function and triggers
• Follow security protocols and compliance requirements to safeguard data warehouse assets.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of data warehouse processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
• Guide internal teams on cloud best practices, security, and cost optimization.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and improve system performance.

Skills Requirement

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Engineering/Computer Science
• 6 - 8 years of experience in Banking sector with Application Developer/Production support background within the Wealth Management industry.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle (EXCC) and SQL server
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data pipeline management.
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Google BigQuery) is a plus.
• Unix file systems, commands, shell scripting development and trouble shooting
• Windows systems, batch scripting development and trouble shooting
• Oracle PL/SQL queries development and trouble shooting
• Managing / monitoring Control-M and Tivoli/Geneos monitoring tools.
• Expertise in performance tuning troubleshooting and optimizing cloud resources.
• Strong background in DevOps methodologies, automation, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-availability environment with a focus on operational excellence.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, security, and infrastructure teams.
