Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure specialist with 5+ years in the Banking domain. You will design and maintain on-prem Fabric technology, analytics, and data platforms while managing GCP infrastructure and secure networking to hybrid environments.

Responsibilities include deep log analysis, Oracle database tuning, and complex migrations (DB2 to Oracle, on-prem to cloud).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 5+ years in Banking domain with hands-on Fabric, analytics and data platform design.
• 2+ years in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
• Strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Forms and Reports knowledge with tuning skills.
• Experience with database migrations (DB2→Oracle, on-prem to cloud).
• Proficient in ITIL incident, problem, change, and service requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support and engineering solutions within the Banking domain.
• Design, implement, and maintain on-prem Fabric, analytics, and data platforms.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug various system logs and events.
• Manage and support GCP infrastructure and services, with secure network design.
• Ensure IAM, service accounts, and access policies meet compliance.
• Develop and optimize Oracle DBs and perform performance tuning.
• Execute database migrations and cloud transition activities.
• Participate in Agile processes using Jira for backlog and testing.
• Create Unix shell scripts to automate manual tasks and reduce toil.
• Monitor with ITRS Geneos; Admin Gateways and Sampler configurations.
• Document procedures, governance reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and long-term platform stability.
• Coordinate transitions to application support and resolve issues.
• Develop change management docs and end-user communications.
• Handle incidents, problems, changes, and service requests per ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Ability to provide end-to-end support and engineering solutions within the Banking domain.


• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale on-prem Fabric technology, analytics, and data platforms.


• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug system, application, security, event, error, access, audit, and debug logs.


• Manage and support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and related services.


• Design and maintain secure network architectures in GCP, including load balancers, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity with on-premises environments.


• Ensure data security and regulatory compliance through proper configuration of IAM roles, service accounts, and access policies.


• Develop, optimize, and support Oracle databases, including SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and performance tuning activities.


• Execute database migration activities such as DB2 to Oracle and On-Premises to GCP migrations.


• Participate in Agile delivery processes using Jira for backlog grooming, user story management, defect tracking, and testing activities.


• Develop and maintain Unix shell s to automate manual processes and reduce operational toil.


• Configure and manage ITRS Geneos monitoring solutions, including Gateway and Sampler administration.


• Create and maintain project documentation, operational procedures, and steering committee presentations.


• Contribute to strategic planning initiatives focused on operational efficiency and long-term platform stability.


• Facilitate smooth transitions to application support teams by ensuring completion of pending activities and issue resolution.


• Develop change management documentation and communication plans for end users.


• Manage Service Requests, Incidents, Problems, Changes, and Stakeholder Relationships in alignment with ITIL practices.


• Drive continual service improvement initiatives and support disaster recovery planning and testing.


• Handle user incident tickets, communicate resolutions effectively, and maintain knowledge base documentation.


• Investigate and resolve escalated incidents in collaboration with technical teams and developers.


• Support high-impact incident resolution, including participation in incident bridge calls.


• Own and manage problem tickets for assigned applications and services.


• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely closure of open problems and service issues.


• Work closely with project managers to introduce new services and ensure operational support readiness.


• Collaborate across support and development teams to address complex production issues.


• Ensure service availability, reliability, and operational excellence across supported applications and platforms.

Skills Requirement

• Bachelors degree in Engineering /computer Science/Information Technology


• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Banking domain.


• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in On-Prem Fabric technology, enterprise analytics, and data platform design.


• Strong expertise in troubleshooting and analyzing Fabric-related logs, including system, application, security, audit, and debugging logs.


• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.


• Strong knowledge of GCP networking, load balancers, VPNs, hybrid cloud connectivity, IAM, security, and access management.


• Extensive experience in Oracle technologies, including:


• SQL


• PL/SQL


• Oracle Forms


• Oracle Reports


• Performance Tuning


• Hands-on experience in database migration projects, including DB2 to Oracle and On-Premises to Cloud migrations.


• Expertise in Double-Take Cloud setup, replication configuration, and troubleshooting.


• Experience working with Jira or equivalent Agile project management tools.


• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Unix Shell ing and process automation.


• Advanced knowledge of ITRS Geneos monitoring and administration.


• Experience in project documentation, governance reporting, and stakeholder communication.


• Strong understanding of ITIL processes including:
