Job summary

SASHTHA ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Production Manager for steel structure fabrication in Singapore.

You will lead welding, fitting and assembly teams, plan daily activities, and coordinate across project managers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors. Responsibilities include ensuring quality, interpreting drawings, optimizing production efficiency and safeguarding safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in steel structure fabrication or production.
• Proven experience managing steel fabrication workshop or production operations.
• Able to read and interpret structural drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Strong knowledge of steel cutting, welding, fitting, drilling, assembly and fabrication processes.
• Good knowledge of production planning, quality control and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage daily steel structure fabrication and production activities.
• Develop production schedules and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Lead and supervise fabrication, welding, fitting and assembly teams.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery and equipment for production activities.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor fabrication quality and ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Identify and resolve production, quality and technical issues.
• Monitor material consumption and minimise wastage and costs.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of fabrication machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain production schedules and progress reports.
• Implement measures to improve production efficiency and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production staff.

• ·Relevant Singapore construction or steel fabrication experience will be an advantage.
• ·Candidate must possess a relevant Steel Structure certification and have successfully completed the SSSS course.
