Job summary

AIM RECRUIT CONSULTANCY PTE. LIMITED is seeking a Production Engineer in Singapore to manage and coordinate production workflows, ensuring timely delivery of jobs and smooth shop floor operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize production hours, and drive training to raise competency while collaborating with QHSE on quality issues. The role is based at Tuas and requires a Diploma/ Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical with metal machining/oil&gas experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical with 2 years in metal machining/oil&gas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, delegate and schedule all incoming jobs to ensure timely delivery.
• Understand requirements of manufacturing, servicing and improvement projects.
• Manage projects from start to completion by working with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Manage workshop loadings, direct labour hours, overtime, rework, scrap, deliveries, downtime etc.
• Organize weekly production meetings to provide status updates to all relevant departments.
• Assist formulate shop floor production plans and optimize production hours.
• Identify competency of production staff and assign suitable work tasks.
• Manage grievances arising and motivate employees to boost morale.
• Work with departments to develop, implement and conduct training to enhance competency.
• Conduct annual performance appraisal for employees & work with QHSE on quality issues.
• Review PCRs and work with internal depts/customers to clarify specs/requirements.
• Resolve bottlenecks and determine root causes, corrections and corrective actions.
• Initiate purchase requisition, prepare monthly reports, and liaise with providers on technical issues.
