Job summary

JE Human Resources Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Assembly Technician to assemble, integrate, test and troubleshoot precision automation equipment and mechatronic systems.

The role collaborates with Engineering and Production teams to ensure builds meet customer specifications. Qualifications

• ITE/ Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on equipment or machine assembly experience.
• Experience in automation equipment, semiconductor equipment, or precision machinery.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components of precision automation equipment.
• Integrate modules and align motion components.
• Perform functional testing and diagnose issues.
• Support Engineers during prototyping and NPI.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and service.
• Maintain quality and safety records, follow 5S/ESD procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in training.

Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Assembly Technician to assemble, integrate, test and troubleshoot precision automation equipment and mechatronic systems. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering and Production teams to ensure high-quality machine builds that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Assembly

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of precision automation equipment, modules, and machine systems.

• Assemble machine components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and SOPs.

• Install motors, linear stages, actuators, sensors, cable harnesses, pneumatic tubing, and mechanical assemblies.

Module Integration

• Perform module integration and complete machine build.

• Align and install precision motion components.

• Ensure all assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Testing & Troubleshooting

• Perform functional testing and machine verification.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and assembly issues.

• Support Engineering in resolving technical problems during machine build.

Engineering Support

• Work closely with Engineers during prototype builds and new product introduction (NPI).

• Provide feedback to improve assembly processes, tooling, and work instructions.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce defects.

Field Support

• Support machine installation, commissioning, and servicing at customer sites when required.

• Travel locally or overseas for installation and technical support when assigned.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure products comply with company quality standards and customer requirements.

• Maintain accurate assembly records and documentation.

• Follow ESD, 5S, and workplace safety procedures.

Team Support

• Guide and mentor junior assembly technicians.

• Assist in training new employees.

• Support daily production activities to meet delivery schedules.

Requirements

• ITE / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in equipment or machine assembly.

• Experience in automation equipment, semiconductor equipment, or precision machinery.

• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with electrical wiring, pneumatic systems, and module integration is an advantage.
