Job summary

Sapiens in Singapore is seeking a software engineer who turns ambiguous customer problems into production AI capability as the technical half of the Value FDE and AI-FDE pair. This role works in a cloud-native insurance context, delivering real, deployable capabilities rather than demos.

You will own the build end to end: model data and processes, design agentic workflows, integrate, evaluate, and release. Travel to client sites as needed and partner closely with the team to ensure

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in Python, Java, C++ or TypeScript with API and cloud experience.
• Hands-on LLM or agentic workflows in production.
• Engineer-diplomat with customer judgement; willing to travel to client sites.
• Insurance systems: policy administration, claims, billing; or our platforms.
• Data engineering, MLOps or security in regulated industries.
• Proven track record working for a Born-in-the-Cloud or Cloud-Native technology company — must have.

Responsibilities

• Ship a working capability against the live backlog in the first week where feasible, then iterate.
• Own the build end to end: model real data and process, design agentic workflows, integrate, evaluate, release.
• Build close to the people who operate the process; no requirements hand-off.
• Meet the Minimum Viable Autonomy bar (evaluation, observability, escalation, controls) before production.
• Reuse and compose existing AIP and agent capabilities; feed proven patterns to the catalogue and R&D.
• Leave the customer able to run, monitor and adjust what has been built.
• Partners one-to-one with the Value FDE. BVDE and PDE are separate roles. Bengaluru engineers back 25 of the 80 pods.
