Job summary

Our client, a well‑established local company, is seeking a Product Planner to support the Program Manager with NPI, order admin, BOM management and planning. Located near Tai Seng MRT, the role offers permanent employment with full benefits and a 5‑day workweek, 8:30am–5:45pm.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in operations or supply chain, a diploma/degree in relevant fields, and knowledge of MRP and SAP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Admin, SCM or related field.
• 3–5 years in operations/supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of MRP and SAP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support Program Manager in customer relationship management and day‑to‑day operations.
• Handle New Product Introduction, order administration, BOM management and planning.
• Process orders, coordinate with departments to fulfil on time.
• Manage material planning to ensure material availability and control costs.
• Liaise with partners and vendors for timely service and pricing.
• Identify improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Guide and train junior staff; maintain key metrics.

They are a leading supplier of printing and packaging solutions, value chain management services, 3rd party logistics, reverse logistics & distribution to multinational clients worldwide. Due to their expansion, they are currently looking for anPRODUCT PLANNER

Offered salary: Basic up to $4000
Work location: Near Tai Seng MRT
Employment Terms: Permanent with full benefits
Work days: 5 days week, Mondays - Fridays 8.30am - 5.45pm

Purpose

To support the Program Manager in strengthening existing customer relationships and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, which includes New Product Introduction (NPI), Order Administration, BOM Management and Planning.

Duties/Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationship with customers by identifying and assessing customers’ current and future needs
• Timely fulfilment of customers’ orders or communication of schedule revision
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure orders will be fulfilled on time
• Respond to all customers’ inquiries promptly
• Prepare and provide reports and proposals to customers as required

Order Processing

• Acknowledge and process sales orders, coordinate with various departments and related parties to fulfil order
• Prepares samples, price estimates and quotations within customer’s expectations and timeframe
• Creates work orders for production and replacement work orders if necessary
• Ensure prompt billing of invoices and assist in overdue payment collection
• Manage customer’s product content effectively

Material Planning

• Plan and make purchase requisition for necessary materials to ensure materials availability in meeting production needs while minimizing inventory holding/costs
• Manages inventory level for raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods
• Analyse order trends and prepare forecast schedule to material planner

Partner & Vendor Management

• Ensure partners and vendors fulfil their service promptly with the correct price
• Evaluates vendor’s performance and develop good relationships with reliable vendors

Productivity and Innovation

• Identify potential improvement initiatives
• Implement feasible improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and/or economy
  

People Management & Administration

• Prepares and updates key functional metrics regularly
• Guides and train junior staff

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other relevant fields
• 3 – 5 years of experience in operations/supply chain environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with good presentation and communication abilities
• Independent and proactive, with strong customer service orientation.
• Experience in printing and packaging industry will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in MRP and SAP systems will be added advantage
