The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. The Product Install Engineer is responsible for the on-site installation, setup, and qualification of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer facilities. This role ensures that systems are installed according to specifications, meet performance requirements, and are handed over to customer teams in fully operational condition. The Install Engineer works closely with cross‑functional teams, including field service, engineering, and customer support, to deliver high‑quality, timely installations in cleanroom environments.
Perform mechanical, electrical, and software installation of semiconductor tools at customer sites. Execute system bring‑up, calibration, and functional testing. Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation. Ensure all installation tasks comply with safety procedures and industry standards.
Conduct system diagnostics, verification tests, and performance qualification. Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges. Document test results and ensure systems meet performance specifications before handoff.
Serve as the primary on-site technical contact during installation. Provide customer training on basic system operation as part of the handover process. Communicate progress, risks, and timelines to internal stakeholders and customer teams.
Manage time, resources, and tasks to meet installation project schedules. Support continuous improvement of installation processes and documentation. Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with product updates and best practices.
