Job summary

You will provide applications development support, develop field use cases, and demonstrate metrology relevance to customer yield issues. You will also deliver field technical support, analyze data, and help improve products through feedback to Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Physics, or Material Science required.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide applications development support to KLA products.
• Develop field use cases; characterize new products/features; demonstrate metrology relevance to customer yield issues.

• Demonstrate product capabilities to customers and prepare detailed specifications.
• Characterize tool/algorithm performance and provide feedback to Engineering for improvement.

Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for high energy, self‑driven and motivated engineers who are interested in working in a High‑Tech Environment. The semiconductor space is a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment that gives application engineers a lot of autonomy to work and drive projects on their own.

Ideal candidates will appreciate the opportunity to have high levels of accountability, work well with limited supervision and thrive in a work environment where they can drive projects on their own.

• Following standard procedures, provide applications development support to KLA products.
• Develop field use cases; characterize new products and/or features; demonstrate metrology relevance to customer yield issues.
• Provide field technical support in the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with KLA products and features.
• Provide specific product demonstrations on all aspects of highly complex products to customers and assess potential applications to meet customer needs; prepare detailed product specifications.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be current in the customer use case domain, have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• The candidate will also be required to work towards characterization of the tool/algorithm performance and provide clear feedback to the Engineering teams for product improvement.
• Strong technical skills are required to understand the functionality and capabilities of these tools and for providing root‑cause analysis and potential solutions for customers.
• Such skills include (but are not limited to) techniques for data analysis/processing, statistical analysis as well as the ability to quickly pick up and understand customer requirements and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidate must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
• The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing.
• Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Candidate must be self‑driven, yet a strong team player to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Candidate shows persistence and dedication to understanding and solving critical customer problems.
