Job summary

UNITED OIL COMPANY PTE LTD is seeking aProduct Development/Specifications professional to execute product life cycles and support ideation and delivery of new formulations. The role requires coordinating with Business Development, maintaining specification databases, and assisting in approvals.

The ideal candidate has a Chemistry degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Execute products according to specifications and oversee their life cycles.
• Support product development through ideation and delivery.
• Develop product specifications by studying competitors and consolidating formulation changes.
• Maintain database of specifications for products and components.
• Assist with troubleshooting and test reports for product issues.
• Liaise with suppliers on technical developments and sourcing additives.
• Track and upgrade product specifications as needed.
• Assist with product specification approvals.

Job description

Job Objective:

• Execute products in relation to specifications and oversees their life cycles
• Support product development through ideation and delivery

Key responsibilities:

Product Specification Development

• Study competitor products and identify areas of improvements that can be made to in-house products
• Assist in processing formulation changes/modification requested by with Business Development (BD) team
• Consolidate details of formulation change and inform BD
• Maintain database of specifications in products and components

Technical Services and Management

• Assist with troubleshooting of technical issues reported by customers
• Assist with preparation of test reports for product issues and/or routine used oil testing
• Liaise with supplier on technical developments within the industry
• Research and assist in sourcing of additives of newly requested specifications
• Keep track of product specifications and upgrade products when necessary
• Assist with product specification approvals

Job Specifications:

Minimum education qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (including applied chemistry) and any related discipline.

Minimum years of experience:

• 1 year of relevant experience in Product Development or in a related industry.
• Fresh graduates with a relevant qualification are welcome to apply.
